Role DescriptionForm Energy is hiring a Staff Engineer to optimize the design and manufacturability for our balance of plant conversion equipment. You will take some of the initial, groundbreaking embodiments of our multi-day energy storage system design and scale them for manufacturability, cost and reliability. As a seasoned engineer, you will produce complex 3D models and detailed mechanical prints with all specifications and callouts for a product that can survive and thrive. Your designs will be mindful of all requirements in play throughout shipping, installation, operational lifetime, and service at our project sites. Alongside our world-class supply chain team, you will drive decisions on what components should be made-to-spec or off-the-shelf and spearhead vendor relationships - from exploring new strategic partnerships to owning releases and engineering changes in our product lifecycle management system. This role will also showcase your ability to independently organize engineering documentation and requirements needed to interface with our BMS Electronics and Project Engineering teams.
