The Position
The Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of Roche's commercial portfolio & pipeline products. The Operations organization at HTO is divided into 2 value streams, which combine to produce millions of units of life-saving medicine every year to patients around the world. The Opportunity As the Senior Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for the drug product manufacturing building at HTO. You will serve as the building owner and will be engaged in building-related repairs, act as facility fitness program owner, and own projects for major facility repairs/modifications. You will play a key role in day-to-day operations, as well as design and delivery of local and major capital projects, and you will interact with a multi-functional team to deliver on business objectives.
You will serve as the building owner and be responsible for the facility fitness strategy to ensure GMP compliance. Your areas of responsibility are in Grade C classified areas and CNC production areas will include painting, ceiling systems, lighting, architectural drawings and flooring (vinyl and epoxy). You will collaborate with internal customers to coordinate resources, outline satisfactory construction & safety practices and ensure accurate completion of various manufacturing building maintenance repairs & project activities. You will collaborate with leadership to establish priorities, targets and achievements. Represent the department functionally, multi-functionally and cross-site for various activities and initiatives applying discretion to independently address issues or resolve problems. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the production facility by attending coordination meetings to report out information on work to be performed that requires assessment, prioritization and scheduling. You will provide ongoing project and schedule updates and completion status for all work that may affect operations. You will perform field supervision of contractors involved with maintenance and repair of the facility including providing training and performing quality assurance checks. You will manage budget to ensure accurate allocation of funds. You will manage documentation including work orders, Disruption and Access Requests, Work Authorizations, Purchase Requisitions, Change Request Forms and Discrepancy Management. You will identify and write maintenance procedures for building systems to establish routine maintenance practices that improve our asset management program.
Who you are:
You have a Bachelors degree (preferably engineering or related field) plus 4 - 7 years experience as a facility manager/engineer in a regulated industry. You have knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices as they relate to utilities, plumbing and electrical systems in a controlled environment. You are a self-motivated teammate with the ability to work, prioritize, and deliver results with minimal supervision. You have a demonstrated success operating in teams (especially multi-functional teams) You have strong organizational, computer, and analytical skills. You have experience in capital project design, development, and execution. You have an understanding of drug product and/or finished goods processes & equipment The ability to prepare specifications and requests for quotes for construction Knowledge of use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Hillsboro, OR is $80,500 - $149,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
