JOB MISSION:

Reporting to the Director of Business Transformation, the Operations Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in using PowerBI for advanced data analysis and visualization, along with a strong background in operational strategies and process improvement. The candidate will own both the build of reporting needed and the dissemination of insights to the field and leadership.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Review and assess current team reports and unify key elements into a single BI dashboard.
  • Ensure the inclusion of both leading and lagging indicators to allow teams to act on insights and improve business performance.
  • Support and maintain all dashboards with a continual improvement mindset, focusing on impact and efficiency (load time, accuracy).
  • Own both standardized BI views and ad hoc reporting to meet business needs.
  • Utilize data from multiple sources, including point of sale data, consumer data hub, demographics, inventory levels, supply chain and logistics data, CSAT, and store scheduling data to deliver summarized KPIs.
  • Identify linkages in data and results between KPIs.
  • Use data structures and tools to test theories of business drivers, focusing on traffic, conversion, and order value to drive sales.
  • Business Intelligence Development:
    • Unify fragmented reporting under one Power BI structure.
    • Lead the onboarding of new datasets to support new insights.
    • Optimize tools for mobile use..
  • Data Analysis Leadership:
    • Partner with Retail Real Estate, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations teams to understand data points used by the business.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on reporting and data accuracy issues.
  • Business Analysis:
    • Map out key drivers of store traffic, conversion, and order value.
    • Use data points to show or disprove correlations between KPI drivers and forecast the impact of improvements.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 5-10 years of experience in analytics, IT, and/or operations. Previous experience in the athletic industry or consumer product goods is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of using advanced PowerBI skills to analyze large datasets, create insightful reports, and deliver actionable business intelligence.
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement within operational workflows and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience in developing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • History of combining multiple data sources and input points.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, gather requirements, and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Experience in using Spotfire for data visualizations and analytics (preferred).

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations.
