CLA is seeking an Employment Practices Senior within CLA's People Solutions team. This role works directly with the Employment Practices Director to support CLA's internal immigration compliance, and global mobility through CLA's Mobility Abroad Program (MAP).

How you'll create opportunities in this Employment Practices Senior role:

US Immigration:

  • Manage CLA's foreign national workforce, tracking visa and work authorization status, I-9 compliance, and related processes.
  • Administer CLA domestic temporary work visa sponsorship processes, collaborating with external legal counsel to prepare and file L-1, H-1B, and H-1B transfer cases.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee and candidate sponsorship inquiries, advising on work visa sponsorship options, policies, procedures, costs, logistics, and timelines.
  • Manage lawful permanent resident (LPR) policy and processes, working with legal counsel to prepare and file LPR cases.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external immigration counsel.

Global Mobility:

  • Manage in/outbound secondments within an international network; collaborate with internal and external contacts on program assignments, selection process, logistics, agreements, and other program details.
  • Prepare and file for J-1 work visas
  • Provide advice and guidance on CLA's secondment policies, processes, and requirements
  • Oversee participant check-ins and problem-solve as necessary

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in global mobility, immigration, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of global mobility policies, immigration laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Workday systems.
