Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing and Communications Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance our company's image, engage our stakeholders, and support our business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in public relations, media relations, and internal communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the company's mission, vision, and values that will build strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, customers, and employees.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and act as the company's spokesperson.
  • Coordinate and manage internal communications to ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop communication plans for key initiatives and events.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and public opinion to shape communication strategies.
  • Ensure all communication materials align with the company's branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on communication best practices and techniques.
  • Build and maintain relationships
  • Provide authentic leadership and mentoring to the Marketing Communications Team, building a collaborative and innovative work environment through teambuilding, coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Enhance the corporate brand, voice, and reputation by crafting and executing strategies that communicate key business values to external audiences through traditional and digital media channels.
  • Maintain and evolve the integrity and consistency of all print and electronic materials, including letterhead, logos, brochures, and more.
  • Special Event/Tradeshow ownership. Design and execute all aspects of annual leadership meetings, national/regional sales meetings, and tradeshows.
  • Manage a team of senior professionals and technical advisors, with budgetary responsibility for the Marketing Communications organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in managing media relations and acting as a spokesperson.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media, artificial intelligence, content management systems, and media monitoring software.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the public sector or working with government agencies.
  • Knowledge of crisis communication strategies and techniques.
  • Ability to develop and execute integrated communication campaigns.
