Overview

As an Environmental Scientist/Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc.'s (CEC) Phoenix and Tempe Offices, you'll be a key part of project teams working to navigate today's complex environmental regulatory landscape, helping our commercial, industrial, mining, public sector, and solid waste clients achieve and maintain compliance with those regulations and manage environmental liability during mergers and acquisitions. Your project work will be diverse and may include Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, stormwater permitting and inspections, SWPPP/SPCC Plans, environmental permitting and monitoring, and environmental remediation. Working with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you'll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review and permitting process. Some travel will be required for this position, but it is anticipated that this would be short-duration trips.



Qualifications

    BS degree in geology, engineering, environmental science or other related field;
  • 3+ years consulting or industry experience;
  • Experience working on industrial and/or mining sites with strict client-mandated safety protocols;
  • Experience independently completing projects from proposal to final report preparation;
  • E.I.T., G.I.T. certification a plus;
  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPER Training a plus;
  • Experience in any of the following projects:
    • Phase I/II environmental assessments and remediation
    • SWPPP/SPCC compliance
    • NPDES, TRI, Tier II reporting and permitting
    • AutoCAD/GIS
    • Solid waste permitting and compliance
