Description

  • Overseeing daily deposit operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer transactions.
  • Supervising deposit-related processes such as ACH processing, NSF/share draft processing, wire transfers, and mobile banking operations.
  • Managing fraud prevention and detection for card services, new accounts, and deposit transactions.
  • Overseeing customer account management, including dormant accounts, escheatment processes, and negative account handling.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Providing leadership, training, and development to the deposit operations team.
  • Resolving customer issues related to deposit accounts and processing errors.
  • Collaborating with other departments to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Managing the implementation and maintenance of digital banking initiatives.
  • Overseeing reconciliation processes for various banking systems and accounts.
  • Developing and implementing strategic objectives for the deposit operations department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field or a combination with equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in bank operations, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and technological advancements in the financial industry
  • In-depth understanding of banking operations and regulations
  • Proficient in managing deposit-related processes (ACH, NSF/share draft processing, wire transfers)
  • Well versed in Federal and State banking regulations as they pertain to operational functions
  • Additional experience in other areas of a bank would be beneficial, especially in a branch environment
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable and flexible to work when there is a business need.
