The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time, bilingual (English/Spanish) Clinical Research Coordinator I to assist with the operation of current, ongoing research studies as well as assist with the operation of future studies. Primary responsibilities include implementing study protocols, administering neuropsychological tests to elderly subjects with or without cognitive problems, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with other research tasks as needed. We are seeking a highly motivated clinical research coordinator with strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with elderly subjects. The ideal applicant should have the drive and enthusiasm to be an integral part of a team that is working to better understand brain aging and neurodegenerative diseases.
The CRC I will help with recruiting, scheduling and conducting all the visit tasks described above for both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking research participants. Education: Bachelor's Degree required Science, Psychology preferred Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities) - Bilingual English/Spanish and cultural competence - Careful attention to details and good organizational skills - Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Computer skills (MS Office, Zoom, REDCap training will be provided) - Working knowledge of clinical research protocols - Respect and professionalism with colleagues and research participants PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collects and organizes participant's data, maintaining records and databases - Provides basic explanation of study and obtains informed consent from subjects - Assists with interviewing study subjects and co-participants - Performs study procedures, which may include vital signs and phlebotomy - Runs our regular consensus videoconference The General Hospital Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
