- Accountable for profitable sales and market share growth of the Allied Seed portfolio and provides agronomy, technical sales, and marketing leadership support for our customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Leads and initiates sales calls with targeted customers promoting Allied Seed brands and all other seed offerings.
- Provides technical and marketing leadership, promotes, and supports implementation of Allied Seed growth initiatives.
- Provides professional field level agronomic and sales support to targeted customers with information promoting the features and benefits of Allied Seed products and services versus the strengths and weaknesses of other key competitive products and services.
- Leads assigned Allied Seed sales territories in implementation of targeted growth strategies aligning with company growth plans.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support other activities such as trade shows, industry training and certification testing (CCA/CCS/State).
- Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Normally requires a bachelor's degree in Ag Business or Agronomy, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of ag sales related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of seed sales.
- A CCA, CCS, or State Consulting license is ideal, but not required.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Occasionally required to lift 25 to 55 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training relating to the position's requirements.
