JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Accounting Clerk III

Reports To: IBEX Program Manager

Location: Ft. Knox, KY; Onsite

Type: SCA

Job Summary: IBEX IT Business Experts, LLC is seeking an Accounting Clerk III in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. This position requires subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The Accounting Clerk III provides functional support by assisting the Budget Chief with processing invoices/SF182's.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Work with Microsoft Office Suite to produce professional, accurate documents as needed.
  • Support the workplace climate treating everyone with honesty, dignity, and respect, free from harassment and discrimination.
  • Promote customer satisfaction by providing stakeholders with professional and helpful service.
  • Promote the achievement of business results in a timely manner; carefully, thoroughly and accurately within the established guidelines.
  • Use proper workload management and time utilization techniques.
  • Process invoices/SF182s for payment, including review for accuracy and validation.
  • Assist educational institutions/vendors on proper invoice/SF182 submission and filing.
  • Reconcile discrepancies by researching submitted invoices, contacting institutions, vendors, or soldiers.
  • Input educational institution/vendor pay data and handle inquiries.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers, consulting by telephone and email.
  • Submit invoices/SF182s, recommend rejection if necessary, and support Army cost reductions.
  • Apply knowledge of US Army Regulations concerning invoice management.
  • Interface with Army staff agencies, Defense Finance and Accounting System (DFAS), and education centers.
  • Prepare and send correspondence, input tracking information into office workflow tracker.
  • Provide continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
  • Assist with general office administrative duties as assigned.
  • Ability to telework effectively with stable internet access.


Qualifications & Experience:



  • Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office, ZOHO, SharePoint, and online software applications. Excellent organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills. Ability to multitask, work with a sense of urgency, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build rapport with clients and prospects.
  • Must have current US work authorization.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:



  • This role involves a blend of corporate office and remote work. Physical demands are minimal; occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required.


Appearance: All personnel shall wear business casual clothing for daily work. The attire worn should always ensure employees' safety from working conditions (long pants, appropriate shirts, and closed-toe shoes as required). Occasionally, staff may be required to wear business dress for certain activities.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk, or hear, and occasionally lift or move office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
