About the Role West Elm is looking for an Associate Project Manager, reporting into the Head Design Manager for Collaborations & Print. In this role, you should be skilled in organization, relationship building & clear communication. This role also involves some design-operations functions, so a working textile design knowledge, and understanding of the product development cycle, is helpful. This role is highly cross-functional and requires adaptability, flexibility, professionalism and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong communicator and problem solver with an ability to motivate and rally project teams. Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects from kick-off to completion, including the creation of project schedules, tracking and ensuring all deliverables are met and regularly communicating status with all team members.
- Proactively identify and discuss solutions for potential blockers or timing risks.
- Ability to organize and understand project requirements that may at times be ambiguous.
- Facilitate meetings with outside partners and circulate actionable notes.
- Support in the establishment and rollout of new processes and procedures that will contribute to better team communication and project documentation.
- Confidence in managing projects in a constantly evolving environment.
- Ability to create strong relationships and build trust with cross-functional teams.
- Develop relationships with and ensures the appropriate participation of key client stakeholders. Attends briefings and design presentations with stakeholders, performing as an information source.
- Leverage best practices and applies lessons learned from previous projects. Actively shares knowledge and learning from project experiences.
- Maintain tracking systems including collaboration project decks, monthly collaborations status document, and maintaining notes for key collaboration milestone meetings
- Work with supervisor on logistics, tracking of collaboration samples and set up of milestone reviews
- Work on print project management and tracking of freelance artist projects
- Assist with 3rd party vendors, such as digital printers
Criteria
- BA/BS degree
- Two or more years of project management experience in a home, fashion or textiles related field
- Knowledge in home furnishings and textiles preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter, works independently, and has entrepreneurial spirit
- Professionalism & positive attitude
- This role requires being onsite in the Dumbo Brooklyn office

This role is not eligible for relocation assistance. The expected starting pay range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
