Field Technician

Pay range: $28 and up (depending on experience)

CPS Westminster, a partner of Heritage LSG is seeking a skilled Irrigation Central Control Field Technician to join our innovative team! This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of irrigation central controls and troubleshooting electrical components with associated systems.

Overview:

The Irrigation Central Control Field Technician role will work closely with the Central Control and Golf Sales Teams. They will get on the job training across CPS specific central control systems, their respective installation requirements and troubleshooting steps, and will work closely with the Technical Services Manager and help and support the inside sales operations at the branch. They will collaborate with the teams to plan and execute the service and installation of products to better serve our clients. Pay range: $28 and up (depending on experience)

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Satisfactory driving record. A company vehicle will be provided.
• Able to pass criminal, background check and a pre-employment drug test.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating /installing/ upgrading central control systems.
• Mid to Expert level understanding of irrigation electrical components and repairs.
• Ability to learn and comprehend new unfamiliar material related to the irrigation industry.

Experience/Industry Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of irrigation operations from hydraulics to electrical controls.
• Knowledge of irrigation specific electrical components. For example, AC/DC power, solenoid/wire resistances, and amperage.
• Use and understand digital multi-meters, ammeters, wire locators ground fault equipment, and other test equipment and tools.
• Preferred experience with Toro Sentinel, WeatherTrak, Baseline, Rain Bird (Golf/Maxicom/SiteControl), or other similar central control platforms.
• Be able to read hydraulic/mechanical, electrical, and other landscape irrigation designs/plans.
• Diagnose, repair, programming, and installation of central control components such as, but not limited to: Central Control PC's, field interfaces/controllers, grounding, sensors, sensor input modules, satellite/controller componentry, radio antennas and cabling.
• Installation of irrigation controllers, controller components (antennas, cabling, weather stations, sensors, etc.).
• Maintain clean safe working conditions, vehicle maintenance and organization, and follow policy set-forth by management teams to promote a safe, healthy, organized branch.
• Build relationships with existing clients/contractors/consultants. Cultivate new leads and convert clients/consultants/contractors to CPS supporters.
• Promote CPS as the leader in central control/golf product knowledge, support, and customer service.
