This position has recently been accreted by UPTE HX union, and will be a part of that union moving forward. Independently, but within an established clinical model, the incumbent provides neuropsychological services including diagnostic evaluations, assessments, and feedback for patients in the UCSD Center for the department of Neurological Surgery. Conducts clinical interviews, adapts cognitive testing battery, and oversees psychometrist completing and scoring battery. Writes brief but comprehensive reports with an efficient turnaround time. Conducts feedback appointments. Interacts with other professionals including neurology, geriatrics, psychiatry, social work, and nursing staff. Completes documentation and billing in a comprehensive and timely manner. Participates in a multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment team. The licensed clinician is responsible for the soundness and validity of assessment and recommendations but is expected to seek advice from supervisor or senior specialists on unusual or complex cases. Incumbent keeps the supervisor informed of the status and progress of individual cases. Professional and community activities include participating in conferences with fellow staff and team members.
