ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions
  • Supports and recommends the best solution to support business growth, especially for establishment of additional facility in Americas and M&A integration.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations; periodically reviews and analyzes investments made and reports with insight to management.
  • Develops, maintains, and drives IT Department Framework.
  • Develops and maintains IT Service Catalog.
  • Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate.
  • Plans and develops policies and procedures for carrying out computer network operations.
  • Prepares progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals.
  • Prepares proposals and solicits contracts from outside firms during IT related projects; manages on an on-going basis software, hardware and telecommunications contracts.
  • Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Develops and maintains company Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Responsible for JSOX (Japan Sarbanes Oxley) compliance and network security.
  • Assists in development of budget and monitoring of expenditures.
  • Responsible for ISO certification of IT systems.
  • Responsible to define and maintain cybersecurity, network and data security policies, procedures and solutions.
  • Coordinates US corporate website planning and ensures appropriate review of content.
  • Proposes the appropriate IT organization to management according to business needs and environmental change.
  • Directs and prioritizes the workload of the Infrastructure Team and direct reports; assigns team members for IT related projects and manage the project progress and cost with them.
  • Documents job duties, procedures, updates, etc.
  • Directs education programs for her/his staff; trains team members and/or gives them the opportunity for training to raise their skills

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Maintain complete and open lines of communication with other personnel, functions, or departments to facilitate operations and interaction in the organization.
  • Keep supervisor informed of status and progress, ensuring that regular and periodic communication takes place.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and keeping abreast of industry trends and related compliance issues within the area of responsibilities.
  • Maintain professional conduct, attendance, and high ethical standards in the work place, complying company's policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill mandatory training requirements applicable for department and job duties as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management.
