Job Title: Fabrication Specialist Location: North Charleston, SC Duration: 6 months assignment with possible extension. Shift Schedule: Must be willing and able to work any shift based on business needs Pay Rate: $ 26/hr on w2 without benefits Job Designation: Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements. 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English. Must Haves: Manufacturing experience (assembler experience is also acceptable!) Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work. Plusses: Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc. Fabrication experience Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes. Education / Experience: High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
