The Inside Sales Representative/Engineer is part of a dynamic team that helps PVI New York Sales enter a new phase of growth. The Inside Sales Representative will be an individual contributor responsible for selling PVI, A Commercial water Heating manufacturer by WATTS. This position will be a part of a compact and nimble sales and marketing team which reports directly to the sales manager. The incumbent will ideally be based out of NYC or the surrounding area. The sales territory will cover an assigned territory: NYC- Five boroughs, Rockland and Westchester Counties. This position requires little to no travel. Roughly 10%, attending trade shows on occasion and trips to the PVI- Fort Worth Texas Manufacturing facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Working remotely, you will provide technical support to our customers, this will include product sizing's, project selections, pricing and availability.
  • Provide Support to Plumbing/Mechanical Engineers and Plumbing contractors on a daily basis
  • Create Submittal Packages as needed for various products
  • Meet, or exceed annual sales targets
  • Research competitive companies and offerings.
  • Follows up promptly and qualifies all new sales leads.
  • Demonstrate software capabilities in a compelling way to leads.
  • Documents all sales activity in company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application.
  • Proactively communicate with prospects in the pipeline.
  • Generates new sales leads through outbound efforts and other methods.
  • Prepare monthly sales pipeline forecasts.
  • Maintain up to date info on the opportunity funnel, and work with sales and management to focus on key opportunities for the business.
  • Conduct Presentations and or Trainings thorough Microsoft Teams
  • Have the ability to work with Marketing to establish email blasts through Constant Contact and LinkedIn Posts.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or 4+ years equivalent experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in the Plumbing and HVAC Industry
  • Technically oriented individual. Must possess strong computer software skills (familiarity with social media, email, CRM, spreadsheets, and document programs).
  • Experience using Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, LinkedIn preferred
  • Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and close multiple sales leads.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers, internally and externally.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can handle workload and take initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Coordination and influencing skills.
  • Strong team player, work ethic and committed to the job.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Quick learner with high energy and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledgeable about the software sales cycle.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven project management skills to influence people in an organization and the ability to balance multiple priorities and deals at same time.
  • Experience in negotiation of sales opportunities and contract terms.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Inside sales experience is a plus
  • Products include Water Heaters, Expansion Tanks, Digital Mixing Valves, Commercial Pumps

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
