Position Overview The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Sociology, beginning Fall 2025. Minimum Qualifications Candidates will hold a Ph.D. in sociology or a related field by the time of appointment. They should also have an active research agenda in sociology, and the ability to teach and mentor students at the undergraduate level. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RESPONSIBILITIES: Expectations for tenure-track Assistant Professors at UNT-Dallas include excellent teaching, research, and service. Teaching duties include a load of four courses per academic semester at the introductory, advanced undergraduate, and graduate levels in a combination of face-to-face and online courses. The successful candidate will also maintain an active research agenda, mentor students, and provide service to the department, university, and community.
