Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Systems Specialist is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Clinical Physician Management System. The Clinical Systems Specialist will also assist with the implementation and maintenance of the Clinical Order Management System. Duties will include responsibilities for training the physician community end users and provide training materials. Specialist will serve as a liaison with Corporate IS, physicians, departments and other customers with clinical related IS issues. Participates with implementations and supports clinical, ancillary and financial applications.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability for abstract reasoning and a talent for explaining the abstractions in concrete terms.
2. Ability to empathize with people of many backgrounds functioning with any staff or operational level in the hierarchy of the hospital.

3. Able to communicate with all staff levels. Excellent communication skills and good analytical skills to resolve system problems.

Able to travel 25% of time. Travel to different facilities is required.
Able to work under pressure to meet timelines.
6. Extended work at video display terminal.

7. Flexibility of schedule.

8. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

1. Associates Degree in Nursing, Information Systems or related field or a minimum of 2 years of clinical systems experience in a health care setting.

2. Should have experience utilizing personal computer hardware and software, preferably with Cerner or Clindoc software
