*The range provided is based on cost of living/geography and what we believe is reasonable in the market at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase, as well as long term compensation. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors.

How You'll Perform the Role

The Director of National Distribution must possess a high level of operational experience and knowledge in the distribution process. Specifically, he/she will have experience and knowledge of performance metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory. Additionally, this position will act as an internal subject matter expert in developing a roadmap that addresses industry trends (i.e., eCommerce sales). The Director of National Distribution reports directly to the Sr. Director of National Distribution.

In addition, the Director of National Distribution is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing strategic plans; to further the company's overall objectives as well as quickly establishing cross-functional relationships with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, S&OP, and Logistics.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:



  • Directly calling on and assisting Sr. Director of Sales on National Headquarter accounts and buying groups
  • Negotiate corporate and buying group rebate programs
  • Negotiate all corporate and buying group marketing programs.
  • Managing and working all trade shows and conferences
  • Managing all disputes, the flow up to corporate headquarters or the buying groups
  • Managing and forecasting all commercial private label working closely with S & OP
  • Accessing customer data portal to use for forecasting sales.
  • Creating new growth opportunities for all commercial brands, Bagcraft, Duro, and Burrows where there are gaps at headquarters/buying groups Assisting the Commercial Sales team where needed to help drive sales at headquarters and buying group branches
  • Making sure the Commercial Sales team and Commercial management know all the initiatives taking place with all the headquarters/buying groups
  • Assist the SVP of Commercial Sales and Sr. Director of National Distribution in developing the yearly budget for headquarters/buying groups



What We Need From You

  • 7 + years' experience in a high-volume national distribution environment
  • Must be able to define and implement strategies to develop operations and must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of defining operational processes and implementing process changes that result in positive P&L impact
  • Bachelor's Degree is required or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent judgment, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Motivational leadership skills should include the ability to energize others to excel and gain commitment to the organizational vision and strategies
