THE OPPORTUNITY

Michelin has an immediate opening for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator who actively supports the plant management team in all aspects of the safety & environmental program with emphasis on the development of a strong H&S culture. This person will assist the EHS Manager with implementing programs, developing policies, and conducting assessments/audits to ensure it is aligned with the company EHS rules.Michelin's purpose is to support everyone's right to move freely to find their better way forward. What Will You Do:

  • Support the plant management team in all aspects of the safety & environmental program.
  • Implement EHS programs, develop policies, and conduct assessments/audits to ensure compliance with company EHS rules.
  • Maintain Health, Safety, & Environment Management System (HSE management system) inputs and outputs.
  • Maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001.
  • Support the completion of accident and near miss investigations with root cause analysis.
  • Coordinate with HR for the return to work of injured employees.
  • Lead safety committee meetings and take part in the evaluation and review of all EH&S metrics.
  • Maintain required safety and health documents/files.
  • Track data related to OSHA logs and Michelin performance indicators.
  • Maintain environmental permits and collect data related to emissions.
  • Complete reports related to permitting and waste generation as required by outside parties.
  • Facilitate EHS trainings for team members, management, and sub-contractors.

What Will You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1-5 years of proven Environmental and Safety coordinating experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Completion of OSHA's 30-hour general industry course/certification program.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and planning/organization skills.
  • Effective communication skills both speaking and writing with peers, management, employees, and vendors.
  • Strong digital literacy including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and works with urgency.
  • Teammate who works collaboratively with others to solve problems and willingly helps others when assistance is needed.
