EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required



  • Education
    High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Experience
    2 years related experience working in a Medical Staff Office or Insurance Company Credentialing Department.


JOB DUTIES



  • Validates the renewal of "Expireables" which includes medical licensure, malpractice insurance, DEA, DPS, and the on-line privileges. Secures documentation of renewal and updates all required systems and files the documentation in the assigned loc. Potential expireables are identified 90 days prior to expiration date.
  • Distributes updated Medical Staff Rosters to the Managed Care Companies on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Distributes policies and procedures to the Managed Care Companies as part of the delegation credentialing process.
  • Sends out monthly reappointment application packets. The incumbent is responsible for mailing the packets out 6 months p prior to their CPC due-date.
  • Performs maintenance work and validates entry of privileges into the Cactus database.
  • Assists with other office-based work as directed by the Mgr/Dir.
  • Maintains knowledge of and compliance with JCAHO standards for Medical Staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
