Survey Team Leader - RPLS - Richardson, TX
This department leadership role involves overseeing a Survey team at our Richardson office, presenting significant potential for career advancement within the Halff organization. Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in the state of Texas. Other state licenses are a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in overseeing a team of field and office surveyors, managing all aspects of a surveying project from planning to data collection and report generation.
- 4 years of practical management and extensive and varied survey experience as an RPLS in Texas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional ability to lead project managers, survey crews and survey technicians, and collaborate and coordinate with upper management
- Works closely with internal and external clients and possess a thorough understanding of their needs.
- Ensures projects are prioritized and executed on time and within budget, while emphasizing key details and quality outcomes.
- Ensures adherence to Halff and clients' safety standards in accordance with established guidelines, including proper procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assists in developing and implementing practice standards, collaborates with technical and practice leaders.
- Exemplifies servant leadership values and provides technical expertise/training to the team.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in Land Development, Public Works, Energy, and/or TXDOT/transportation projects and procedures is a plus.
- Strong understanding and familiarity with the Richardson/Dallas and greater DFW metroplex area, as well as the overall Texas market.
- Technical proficiency with Trimble Business Center, and Bentley Open Roads or Civil 3D is ideal.
- Active participation in professional organizations, professional development and mentoring of staff.
- Maintains an established network of business connections within the survey and AEC profession.
