Job Purpose
Direct lineside, upstream and downstream customer support of part concerns, problem response, report and investigate quality concerns, part quality confirmation, DP and IR reduction, general equipment preventive maintenance, supporting shutdown activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Safety - Monitor and enforce all department and plant safety rules.
- Problem investigation, accurately reporting and timely follow up.
- Support quality confirmations, suspect part containment, training and mentoring of group members.
- Review DP and IR, work with department groups to countermeasure.
- Communicate/pass down pertinent information to next shift.
- Investigate inner department part concerns, track suspect part containment and repair.
- Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise.
- Communicate clearly through daily reporting to ensure shift-to-shift understanding of activity and pending items.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Experience:
- 2 years manufacturing production experience
- Machining experience preferred
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Basic Mechanical understanding (pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic, etc.)
- Ability to work with and teach others
- Must be able to actively follow-up on projects and equipment related issues.
- Basic mechanical blueprint reading capabilities
- Problem solving skills.
- Willingness to support basic overtime, weekend and shutdowns
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
