Provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team in coordinating research activities that may include conducting a variety of routine experiments with established methodologies, data collection and management, and other research activities as assigned.
Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: - Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting. - Study cohort management. - Outreach communication with subjects, conducting mailings, follow-up on mailings, and obtaining necessary documents. - Provides assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research. Working Conditions:
Working under the supervision of a Principal Investigator (Dr. Michael D. Fox) and Instructor (Dr. Sheena Baratono) in the fields of neuroimaging, Alzheimer's disease, and other neurodegenerative diseases. The RA is responsible for following established policies and procedures, assisting in maintaining large neuroimaging datasets, performing data-processing and data-analyses under supervision, and contributing to the lab's infrastructure by writing scripts and establishing new neuroimaging analyses pipelines. The RA may assist in clinical research studies and IRB submissions and professionally interacts with regulatory personnel. There is also an opportunity for patient contact by administering transcranial magnetic stimulation and shadowing in cognitive neurology clinic. However, the position is primarily oriented towards computational analyses, primarily programing and biostatistics. RAs are encouraged to present posters at national scientific conferences and significantly contribute to ongoing research projects. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
