Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Engineer II to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec is currently seeking an experienced engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Joint U.S.-Israeli Cooperative Program Office in Huntsville, Alabama.

Duties Include:

    Analyzing and interpreting foreign partner engineering data and documentation to identify and document issues, recommend solutions, and ensure engineering and technical rigor
  • Supporting ground testing activities for new hardware development
  • Conducting engineering analyses and drafting technical reports
  • Participation in program status reviews, technical interchange meetings, working groups, test planning reviews, engineering meetings, and other meetings and working groups as assigned
  • Reviewing technical information and preparing briefing packages for senior leaders
  • Preparing technical and programmatic risk packages
  • Supporting test failure investigations and prepare associated documents/reports
  • Representing the customer in working groups and joint meetings with our international partners
  • Supporting joint missile flight test planning and execution


Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • A proactive, self-starter with excellent people, organizational, and communication skills
  • Applies engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems
  • Have the ability to plan, coordinate, and conduct weapon system engineering tasks and required documentation in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Work independently, and as part of a Team, to identify and solve problems
  • Capable of providing expertise to relevant program analytical principles and practices for developmental and operational tests
  • Experience interacting and supporting senior-level government customers
  • A willingness to perform a variety of tasks to support the needs of the program
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Possess a current U.S. Passport
  • Travel: 10% to 25% to various CONUS or OCONUS locations including test ranges, integration sites, and industry partner locations

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors in STEM field with 3+ years of experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the design, development, testing, or production of missile defense systems or components
  • Capable of providing engineering support for complex developmental/operational weapon system programs including system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices, and/or processes
  • Capable of leading implementation of system engineering processes across a program acquisition life cycle
  • Experience generating briefings, white papers, and presenting information at the executive level
