Fox News Channel is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and creative Associate Producer to join the top-rated 2-hour primetime program, The Big Weekend Show. As an Associate Producer, you will be responsible for pitching stories, writing scripts, building and selecting elements, producing packages, and conducting in-depth research. You are a superb writer and excellent researcher who sees value in being patient, thorough, and persistent. You must be well versed in politics, culture, and current events.

This role is located fully onsite, and the schedule is Wednesday - Sunday.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch stories and strategies for your segments, and execute creative and innovative ideas for each part of the show on a regular basis

  • Write guest intros, segments, and identify possible host questions/follow-ups as needed

  • Select and cut elements such as sound and video clips to help tell a story

  • Create lower-third banners and full screen graphics for air

  • Work with reporters on their scripts and elements

  • Monitor multiple sources for new developments on your segments and keep the team informed

  • Conduct and compose in-depth research packets that identify valuable information

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • A Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

  • 2-3 years of prior live television news experience at national level or top markets

  • Familiarity with iNews, DALET, VIZ, and an understanding of building program rundowns

  • Exceptional editorial skills with the ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television

  • Excellent scriptwriting skills, news judgment, and grammar

  • Strong knowledge of news, politics, and current events

  • Ability to work under pressure, be decisive, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines

  • Willingness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive feedback

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $61,000.00-76,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $50,800.00-63,300.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
