St. Louis MO is looking for a Highway Design Engineer with at least 5 years of related experience

As a Highway Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. Qualifications

Positions Available -



  • Mid-level engineer with at least 5 years of related experience
  • Position available in either the St Louis, MO office or Edwardsville, IL office


Ideal Candidates will have:



  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in the design and development of transportation projects.
  • A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University with an emphasis on Highway/Transportation Design
  • Professional Engineer license in IL or MO is preferred, or eligible to take the exam.


General Responsibilities of a Structural Bridge Design Engineer:




  • Coordinate with technical staff in performing a variety of non-structural engineering tasks, including the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Highway Design, including but not limited to roadway geometrics, drainage, pavement design, permanent signage, intersections, and work zone traffic control.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including occasional field assignments and assistance with statements of interest and technical/price proposals.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and perform highway related tasks for multiple projects; IDOT and/or MoDOT experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with plan preparation, including roadway, traffic control, signing & pavement marking, erosion & sediment control, utility, and cross sections.
  • MicroStation/AutoCAD experience with OpenRoads/Civil 3D proficiency, scheduling experience are pluses.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with a fluency in English.
