Overview:
We are seeking a Credit Analyst with a proven background in accounts receivable and collections. This role is responsible for a high volume of correspondence to clients, updating relevant client status information and working with attorneys to minimize potential revenue loss to the firm. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit analysis, negotiation, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify problem accounts and recommend the most appropriate action to minimize revenue loss.
  • Contact clients regarding the receipt of invoices and the status of payment while collaborating with the billing attorneys to bring accounts to resolution.
  • Make recommendations to billing attorneys on accounts to be placed with an outside collection agency. Monitor the progress of these accounts.
  • Handle a department telephone line and a department email box.
  • Maintain complete and accurate accounts receivable files for clients with overdue accounts.
  • Responsible for processing client account adjustments/write-offs in the financial system.

Our Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in collections in a law firm or professional business.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operations and credit management principles.
  • Proficiency in using accounts receivable and collection software.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis [or Mankato], the estimated starting annual pay range is $60,000 - $84,000/ year. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
