POSITION DEFINITION
The Procurement Coordinator reports to the Manager of Procurement Services and is accountable for supporting internal and external stakeholders, primarily but not limited to, procurement-related tasks, the successful delivery and execution of contracts, creation of requisitions, vendor onboarding, insurance and license management, and verification of invoices. The incumbent is also responsible for contract filing and retrieval for CPUC Audit activities, and internal and external Auditors. The Procurement Coordinator must be highly efficient in time management, have good organizational skills, diligent in record keeping and digital filing, and be proactive in resolving issues and questions on procurement-related activities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepares and reviews purchase requisitions or bid requests
* Assists in the goods and service delivery follow-ups to internal stakeholders
* Works with Accounts Payable staff to ensure prompt payment of assigned invoices
* Supports the Manager of Procurement Services on procurement tasks requested by internal or external stakeholders
* Assists Procurement Administrators and Contract Administrators in researching information through online search, contacting stakeholders, and other research methods, and providing requested reports in a timely manner
* Manages vendor onboarding process to ensure the effective qualification of vendors and updates the qualified vendor list
* Promptly updates vendor's insurance and license tracking to reduce the company's risk exposure
* Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Business Economics, Supply Chain / Procurement, or a related field of study required
* At least one (1) year of experience in office management preferably in Procurement
* Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and JD Edward software application or other ERP software, e-bidding software (e.g. PlanetBids, Ariba, BidSync)

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
