Job Description

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is seeking a Cost of Care Portfolio Analyst within our Healthcare division. In this role, you will actively analyze, manage, and provide tactical and strategic expertise to the portfolio(s) of initiatives and projects within the Cost of Care Governance Team. Assist in the development of processes, standards, policies, and templates as necessary to support the portfolio(s) management function.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the Cost of Care Governance Team and sub workstreams in Healthcare Value.

  • Track open action items from Transformation Office and follow up with Initiative Owners (IO)/Sub-Workstream Leads (SWSL) to ensure responsiveness.

  • Conduct weekly touchpoints with Sub-Workstream Leads/IOs to follow up on next steps and push initiatives forward quickly.

  • Coordinate cross-workstream sessions and documentations (e.g., ideation sessions, IO training materials, IO guidebooks, cross-SWSL agenda)

  • Facilitate clarifications with Transformation Office (e.g., on Transformation Office guidance, deliverables, or timelines) along with Cost of Care Team

  • Submit L3 timelines and provide updates on initiative progression (e.g., Transformation Office liaison email updates)

  • Monitor KPIs for high-value initiatives to identify potential risks to value.

  • Push IOs to identify root cause of low performing initiatives (e.g., asking follow-up questions on initiatives that are potentially underperforming)

  • Assist in the process to manage low-performing initiatives and follow up on any mitigation actions are ensure they are taking place (e.g., standing war rooms)

  • Flag issues to Sub-Workstream Leads/Cost of Care Team/Work Stream Leads proactively.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
  • 3+ years of experience in related field.
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.

$68,200.00 - $109,100.00
