About the role

The position will report directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Summerlin and will be responsible for proactively supporting the company's commercial and residential real estate development, management, operation, and financing activities in Summerlin.

This position is located in the Summerlin master planned community, which is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. This job requires in-office attendance.

What You Will Do:

  • Support senior attorneys in managing and providing strategic advice on complex issues related to commercial and residential development, financing, operations, acquisitions, and dispositions.

  • Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of real estate transactional documents, with a focus on commercial leasing agreements, joint venture agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and loan documents.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and memorandums on real estate, land use, zoning, regulatory compliance, and other related issues.

  • Participate in coordinating internal efforts to ensure accurate representations and adherence to terms in transactional documents.

  • Analyze existing agreements to aid management in enforcement and operational strategies of properties.

  • Participate in coordinating transactions, working collaboratively with internal teams, external counsel, and other stakeholders.

  • Assist with general corporate legal matters as needed to support a broad range of company initiatives.

About You:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar is required.

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in real estate law.

  • Demonstrated ability to work on real estate deals and advising on both strategic and operational aspects.

  • Experience in a generalist role, handling a variety of legal tasks and supporting multiple business units within a corporate setting.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to manage legal and business databases.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships across all levels of an organization.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
