The Director of Library Services at Baker College will oversee all library operations across campus and online, including collection development, information literacy, digital resources, and staff supervision. This role involves collaborating with faculty, academic leaders, and IT teams to integrate innovative services that address evolving educational needs. The Director is responsible for continuous review and improvement of library programs and resources, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and fostering an inclusive, accessible learning environment. Additional duties include managing library technologies, budgeting, staffing, and evaluating resources to support diverse subjects. The Director will promote library resources, coordinate outreach, manage policies, and contribute to long-term planning while staying informed on industry trends and representing the library at conferences.

The ideal candidate for the Director of Library Services position will possess a Master's degree in Library/Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution. A minimum of three years of experience in an academic library, including a role such as Assistant Director, is preferred. Additionally, prior supervisory experience is highly valued.
