Position Summary The Provider Onboarding Specialist is the primary liaison and point of contact for newly employed or contracted internal providers. The Provider Onboarding Specialists handles all aspects of State and Federal program enrollment including Medicare and Medi-Cal for internal providers and the group. The Provider Onboarding Specialist is responsible for timely outreach to the provider in order to obtain the documents necessary for the provider to become credentialed and affiliated with all health plans. It is the responsibility of the Provider Onboarding Specialist to make sure the provider has completed all aspects of the onboarding process before their start date. This position is responsible for all initial hospital privileging when applicable for new providers and includes working with the Hospitalist Medical Director to provide ongoing status updates.
