JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Hourly position (up to 6 hours per week) for graduate student versed in Biology to assist the Biology department in promoting its activities and accomplishments via Twitter. In addition to having expertise in Biology, the student must also be able to demonstrate past successful use of Twitter for communication. Approval from your Ph.D. advisor is required. The Biology department plays an active role in delivering scientific information and research to the broader scientific community and the public. Twitter has emerged as the space to discuss emerging science. Tweeting about Biology activities, outreach and emerging research is therefore critical to the success and reputation of the department.
