GENERAL SUMMARY

The Operations Manager oversees manufacturing and distribution processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and accuracy at every stage. Key responsibilities include automation, repair, manufacturing, assembly, inventory tracking, and the shipping and receiving of finished products and all related documentation. Additionally, the Operations Manager leads a team of 1-20 employees, handling workforce planning, hiring, training, scheduling, and daily task assignments while promoting a safe and productive work environment

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Responsible for facility operations including product automation, assembly, repairing, testing, packaging, receiving and shipping.
  • Supervises all facility staff.
  • Is responsible for inventory movements, tracking, cycle counting and layout functions.
  • Schedules service calls.
  • Ensure all employees and operations are safe and productive.
  • Schedules freight movement, calling trucks, arranging pickups and deliveries of product or material.
  • Responsible for arranging and / or coordinating all inbound and outbound freight.
  • Reinforce performance expectations according to safe work practices, ISO quality expectations and according to company policies.
  • Ensures all activities follow current shipping laws and regulations.
  • Travel if necessary to customer sites with the purpose of building and maintaining relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in leading distribution, warehousing, and/or manufacturing.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent teamwork, coaching, team building skills and promoting safe behavior.
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Word, Shipping software, etc.
  • Strong communication, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • May be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional handling of material and components.
  • May have contact with caustic substances in some areas of plant.
  • Must be able to tolerate long hours in shop environment and support after hours business needs as they arise.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently for distances up to 10 feet.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $95,826 to $119,782 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
