Now Hiring a Regional Recruiter to Support Multiple Locations in our Growing Louisiana Market! The Waste Pro Recruiting Specialist is responsible for helping our company proactively fill the talent pipeline by engaging and identifying new candidates using sourcing strategies and various recruiting tools and methods (job boards, social media, company database, networking events, trade groups, technical schools, etc.) for the purpose of recruiting and advertising employment opportunities. Job Functions:
- In partnership with Regional Teams develops and executes recruiting plans to attract, recruit, and retain top talent for Waste Pro. Builds a pipeline of talent for future and/or unexpected hiring needs.
- Provides recruiting assistance for high need positions and new startups by presenting qualified and screened candidates to hiring managers with summary of qualifications.
- Tracks the performance of the hiring process and provides regular feedback to Regional HR team and managers. Makes suggestions and implements improvements to recruiting efforts.
- Communicates feedback and hiring decisions to candidates.
- Reviews and makes recommendations for external sourcing opportunities. Maintains a strong community network to present qualified candidates. Attends recruiting and outreach events in representation of Waste Pro.
- Track candidate status and provide regular updates to management team.
- Onboard candidates and prepare Regional Safety Trainer for orientation and provide required DOT documentation.
- Review and upload completed new hire paperwork to electronic employee file.
- Conduct 90 day stay surveys and maintain regular communicaiton with new team members.
Other Responsibilities:
- Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
- Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro.
- Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor
No CDL Required
Education and Experience:
- One year of recruiting experience
- Waste Industry, Construction or Transportation experience preferred..
- Experience in recruiting, navigating and advertising on social media sites.
- Ability to promote and foster diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to think analytically and resourcefully draw accurate conclusions.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Basic knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and law.
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft products and the ability to learn internal and partner databases.
- Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collect data related to recruitment and hiring process.
- Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative and adapt to change and operate rationally under dynamic pressure situations
- Ability to function as team member and effectively build relationships with management, peers, staff and clients.
- Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities with effective distribution of time and effort.

- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, driving, etc.)- most of the work day;
- Required to exert physical effort in tasks that involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight handling objects less than 25 pounds- rarely;
- Will need to function in diversity of settings that include facilities, equipment yards, landfills, recycling centers, transfer stations, and residential / commercial areas.
- Able to climb in and out of equipment.
- Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel up to 40%
