About the role

Reporting to the Benefits Director, the Manager, Absence and Wellbeing is responsible for managing Reworld North America leave and absence program in alignment with our company mission, goals and competitive practices. As a key member of the Benefits COE, the Manager, Absence and Wellbeing provides consultative guidance, analysis, and support related to leave and absence management to Regional HR team and site leaders. They frequently monitor the regulatory environment and market trends to ensure our absence programs are relevant, competitive, compliant, and cost effective.

Work Location: Morristown, NJ
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office 2 days from home)

What you will do:

Requiring a solid foundation in employee Benefits and Leave administration or extensive successful related HR Generalist work, primary responsibilities include, and are not limited to:

* Manage all aspects of ADA Reasonable Accommodations and medical leave requests, short-term or long-term disability plans, wellness program, and serve as the subject matter expert of regulations and law within and outside the Benefits and HR teams.

* Oversee leave and wellness management and ensure practices are compliant with complex and overlapping regulations and policies; administering all aspects of family and medical leave of absences, including but not limited to FMLA, PFML, state sick leave, Parental Leave programs, and other absence management practices.

* Set, execute, and measure leave administration and wellness performance goals and support efforts to continuously improve and grow the function.

* Collaborate with internal and external experts to offer excellent ongoing wellness opportunities.

* Analyze Service Level Agreements (SLA)/Operational Level Agreement (OLA) metrics and consult with Total Rewards & HR leadership team to set recommendations to improve function's operational efficiency and improved client service delivery model.

* Partner with Corporate Communications on leave and benefit communications through multiple delivery channels (i.e., Intranet, recorded webinars/videos).

* Partner with HRIS, Payroll and HR teams, and other cross-functional teams to implement and execute the operational aspects of absence and wellness management.

* Act as a project manager wellness challenges.

* Prepare special reports by gathering, analyzing, summarizing and presenting information on benefit trends.

* Support Benefits COE as well as merger and acquisitions activities and implementation.

* Other duties as assigned including but not limited to:

o Serve as backup to Health & Welfare Benefits Manager

o Manage assigned Mailboxes (i.e., FMLA, Wellness) and support timely responses to escalated employee inquiries in partnership with vendors and/or internal departments

o Administer day-to-day leave of absence and disability benefit payment process from employees' initial notice, request for accommodation, to the employee's return to work and related leave conclusion activities.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields of study.

* Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred.

* 5+ years' experience with benefits plans and analysis, including experience with vendor management and renewal negotiations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* In-depth knowledge applicable state and federal leave of absence regulations to ensure compliance, specifically FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation and states leave.

* Good understanding of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA

* Strong presentation, persuasion, and collaborative skills to build and maintain proactive involvement with all levels within the organization.

* Strong analytical skill set in MS Excel and PowerPoint with ability to interpret and present data.

* Strong business acumen to align both business objectives and HR strategies with corporate goals to maximize shareholder value.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

* Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods of time

* Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements

* Ability to lift up to 15lbs.

* Ability to reach, squat, bend, and manually manipulate standard office equipment

* Ability to drive to various locations

* Ability to reason, analyze and think critically

* Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action
