POSITION

Allspring Global Investments is looking for a senior level portfolio analyst to join our Portfolio Accounting team. The candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in portfolio accounting or related operations experience with a history of increasing responsibilities and leadership roles. A track record of identifying and implementing improvements, including controls to mitigate risk, is considered a strong plus. In addition, candidate must have proven leadership skills and demonstrate a willingness to lead teams and projects.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Initiating and leading improvements across portfolio accounting and portfolio performance functions. Supporting the deployment of new products and services as part of project teams. Effectively leading escalation efforts with custodians and other parties to resolve discrepancies timely and help address the root cause of ongoing issues. Identifying opportunities to reduce risk and/or increase efficiencies across core portfolio accounting functions including team reconciliations, performance analysis, daily cash support and complex derivatives activities. Additional responsibilities may include team lead roles, overseeing preparation of daily and month-end reconciliations, aged items and monthly management metrics reporting. Candidate must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with custodians, internal operational team members, investment team contacts and relationship managers to resolve issues and build sound working relationships.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • 7 plus years of investment operations experience
  • Detailed knowledge full lifecycle management of complex securities including derivative and bank loans
  • Proven record of leading process improvements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated time management, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management.
  • Proven ability to manage risk, mitigate risk and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and execution excellence


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Enjoys working in a changing environment but able to focus on the task at hand
  • Experience in other mid- and back-office roles including trade support, performance, portfolio operations, and client administration
  • Experience with Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), Bloomberg, CRD, Wall Street Office (WSO) and SS&C Recon.
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel and general facility with technology tools such as MS Access and Power BI
