PAY:
$20 per hour working 50-55 hours a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely assist in the operation of a garbage truck on designated routes (excluding driving).
• Read and understand route sheets, ensuring service is provided to each customer as specified by the dispatcher.
• Assist the driver in collecting waste and disposing of it in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, loading, and unloading.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse into the truck.
• Provide courteous interaction with customers while representing Waste Connections in a professional manner.
• Perform additional job-related duties as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• This position involves significant physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing over 50 pounds.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions, including hot, humid, and wet environments, with occasional exposure to fumes and vibrations.
• Moderate noise levels and potential exposure to mechanical hazards, requiring adherence to safety protocols.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift over 50 lbs without assistance.
• Stable work history with at least two years of employment experience.
• Must hold a valid CDL permit or be willing to obtain a CDL within the required timeframe.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
