Job Summary

The Indirect Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing relationships with clients in Automobile, RV, Marine, Power sports, home improvement industries as well as cross-selling all lines of commercial business within in a geographical region.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities



  1. Relationship Manager - Conduct regular outside visits to new and existing dealer locations to provide training, support, and guidance on lending programs.
  2. Sales Strategy - Achieve and exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the Indirect Lending division. Develop strategies to drive revenue growth through indirect sales channel. Identify new markets and opportunities for expansion of footprint. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
  3. Services dealer accounts working with credit team to maintain good partnerships, long-term dealer relationships. Work with internal team members to ensure seamless service delivery and addressing client concerns.
  4. Performance, Compliance, Fair Lending-Reviews operating policies and procedures to ensure proper credit standards with dealer contracts are maintained. Guides and advises dealers in interpreting dealer agreements and applying such policies and procedures correctly.
  5. Collaboration-Maintains contact with dealers and/or customers to solve problems indirect lenders have referred, such as mediating customer-dealer disputes, discussing applications, discussing decisions, enforcing the dealer agreement and program.


Experience Needed:



  • Five years' related experience is required.


Education, Licensure & Certification Needed:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.


Skills & Abilities Needed:



  • Knowledge of lending practices, policies and procedures as they pertain to dealer contracts and indirect consumer lending.
  • Knowledge of credit scoring systems and ability to read credit bureau
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), including the ability to negotiate and build influence.
  • Ability to manage 200+client relationships with a strong passion for the client and strives to ensure they receive the best in class client service in their channel of choice.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to leverage client insights to drive solutions.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank's organizational structure, policies, and operating procedures, as well as thorough knowledge of bank products/services in conjunction with the proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized while focusing on work quality with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.


The expected starting salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 annually and is eligible for commission. This is a salaried, exempt position. Compensation decisions will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and education, which may determine where within the range the starting pay will fall.
