AESC is looking to add a Corporate Vice President, US HR to our team in Murfreesboro, TN.

AESC is expanding its footprint in the United States with gigafactories in Kentucky, South Carolina, and Tennessee to meet the growing demand for EV and BESS batteries and strengthen its presence in the North American market. AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational since 2012, produces batteries for Nissan. The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply Mercedes-Benz with high-performance battery cell modules. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply technology-leading battery cells for new electric models produced in BMW Group's Spartanburg plant. About the Role

The Regional Leader at AESC will be responsible for overseeing all operations within their assigned region including human resources planning and budgeting, organizational development and manager management, TA management, talent development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and digitalization. Ensure that the organization's capabilities and competencies meet the company's requirements.

What You Will Do

* Organizational and Cultural Construction

Initiate significant regional organization, culture and leadership transformation and contributing to this transformation at all dimensions, starting from collaboration by breaking silos, co-creation and culture change.

* Talent lifecycle management

Set up local HR CoE and implement policy effectively, focusing on creating and prototyping all non-existing HR solutions to support the different business functions. Localize HR products like performance management and challenger system, training program and TA Process, C&B and payment process etc. Ensure it meets globally consistent standards while also being able to adapt and meet local business conditions and requirements.

* System construction and problem diagnosis mechanism

Initiate and implement people analytics focusing on effortless reporting, skill management and open discussion culture. Explore problems and act plans, also avoid risks and prevent the same problem from happening again.

* Laws and regulations and brand building:

Build a good local employer brand, establish a good local work environment and community relationships, handle local employee relationships and avoid legal and brand impact risks related to human resources.

* Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Science and Engineering, Business Administration/Management or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Having successful experience in organizations with global operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of business requirements.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
What is "Nice to Have"?
  • Greenfield or start-up experience
  • Automotive or Battery experience
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
Travel

Occasional domestic and international travel required.
