Job Summary

As a solution consultant, you will be responsible for developing network solutions that enable our data orchestration and management (DOM) capabilities. These solutions are built from our extensive portfolio of switching, routing, network management, and cybersecurity products. As a key member of the Technical Services and Support organization, you will work closely with Solution Sales Managers and Digital Automation Consultants, using data from network assessments to define customer challenges and IT/OT network requirements in a healthcare environment. You will lead the solution design specification (SDS) process, creating a blueprint for proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations that showcase the solution and our capabilities, either at customer sites or one of our Customer Innovation Centers (CIC). A successful PoC demonstrates operational or financial impact and secures customer commitment to deploying the solution to address their challenges. Once a customer accepts the design and recognizes the value of the solution, you will advise Commercial Operations and Project Management teams on scope and design, ensuring a smooth handoff to our execution teams. As a technical partner to other business functions, you will provide insights into customer trends, product or capability gaps, and successful outcomes. While your expertise in networking solutions is key, your understanding of industry-specific challenges will help drive effective solutions. Your experience in developing and implementing networking solutions for data orchestration and management will strengthen Belden's position as a trusted provider of networking and data solutions. In this role, you will foster collaboration, teamwork, and communication-serving as the central point of coordination among internal and external stakeholders in each project opportunity.

JobResponsibilities



  • Navigate customer challenges and develop solutions that drive successful outcomes, incorporating Belden and third-party products as needed.
  • Define and develop network designs, including equipment requirements, bills of materials (BOMs), single-line diagrams (SLDs), and logical network hierarchies.
  • Lead the solution design process, translating customer needs into compelling technical solutions with measurable financial impact, and collaborate on proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from design acceptance to execution, working closely with commercial operations, project management, and technical services teams.
  • Support technical sales efforts by providing expertise in assigned vertical markets and engaging in industry events, webinars, and trade shows.
  • Create and contribute technical content for marketing materials, application notes, quick-start guides, and case studies.
  • Provide market feedback to product management to drive product development and ensure Belden's solutions meet evolving customer needs.
  • Partner with TSS counterparts to translate customer requirements and problem statements into compelling technical solutions with demonstrable financial valueimpact
  • Travel as required for customer visits and professional development (expected 50% oftravel)


Education &Experience



  • 5+ years of experience Designing, Implementing, Maintaining and / or Managing Network Equipment in Layer 2, 3 for Wired and Wireless Networks; Experience commissioning or Integrating Systems or Software delivering Data Orchestration or Protection (i.e. ZTNA, NAC, Cybersecurity)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on Networking and Ethernet basedcommunications
  • Proven track record within a Network Architecture or Development role in Healthcare Environments
  • Network Credentials like CCNA, CCIE, JCNIA, ECS or similar from Network Equipment Manufacturers
  • Experience working with cross functional teams, including Solution Architects, Solution Line Management, Product Development, Automation Consultants, Sales, Marketing and or ProductDevelopment
  • Experience with Ethernet Protocol, and Language Models deployed in Healthcare Environments
  • Experience in Cloud, Edge and Hybrid Connectivity
  • Experience in OT Networks addressing Healthcare Environmental Regulation

  • Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of key technology and market trends, and competitors' solutions.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000 to $150,000, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
