Join us as our new Quality Control Technician! Thisposition works under general supervision as part of a team responsible for the quality control processes performed in a GMP-compliant manufacturing facility. All team members must be mindful of production timelines while supporting the achievement of quality, safety, sales and production goals. In this role you'll make a difference by:
Performing all required in-house quality control testing on samples for approval and in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions, etc.
Performingenvironmental monitoring of the facility
Actively participatingin all internal safety programs and adheres to all relevant safety guidelines
Utilizingaseptic techniques to ensure sterility of all media, equipment, and work area
Performingroutine equipment calibrations or verifications (e.g., scales, pH meters) in compliance with testing and production parameters
Completingproduction journals, batch records and/or lab requisitions
Keepingdetailed and accurate records in appropriate company database (SAP, LIMS) of all conducted tests, evaluation, and analyses
Communicatingany testing nonconformance to relevant stakeholders e.g., QC Management, PMG, QA, Production, as necessary
Assistingwith training and onboarding of staff in areas of attained proficiency
Keepinglab and work area clean and orderly
To succeed you must hold:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry or related field (Preferred)
A basic understanding of microbiology, chemistry and practical application of general laboratory skills
Excellent communication, organizational, planning, problem-solving and follow-up skills
The ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing priorities and handle unanticipated events without losing sight of core responsibilities
Incorporate a sense of urgency for initiation, completion, and communication of testing results and findings
Work effectively as an individual or team player in a diverse work group
