Facilities Engineer

The Chelsea Proving Grounds facilities team are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to ensure the functionality, safety and efficiency of our various track surfaces and building infrastructure.

The Facilities Engineer will manage construction projects such as commercial roof replacement, vehicle hoist removal and installation, electrical vehicle charger installation & maintenance management, office furniture layout, design and job management, CAD updating of site utilities and master drawings among other projects to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Job responsibilities will include planning, coordination and overall management of all aforementioned projects along with the following core duties:



  • Plan and manage all roofing and vehicle hoist replacement activities.
  • Ensure projects meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.
  • Work with various contractors to determine site needs for repairs and/or renovations.
  • Keep financial and non-financial record keeping.
  • Perform analysis and forecasting.
  • Allocate office space according to needs.



The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, with a problem-solving mindset.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or Relevant Work Experience
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of Basic Accounting and Finance Principles
  • Good Analytical/Critical Thinking
  • Project Management Skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, MS Office

    • Updating of Site Utilities and Master Drawings
    • Office Furniture Layout & Design
    • Data Scanning/Record Retention


  • Ability to Troubleshoot and Problem Solve



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Civil, Infrastructure, or Industrial Engineering
  • Excellent Organizational and Leadership Skills
  • Proven Experience as a Facilities Engineer or Relevant Position
  • Well-versed in Technical/Engineering Operations and Facilities Management Best Practices
  • Knowledge of Building Process and Construction Principles
  • Knowledge of Relevant Regulations and Building Codes
