Description

Barnes Molding Solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor for its Livonia MI site. The Supply Chain Supervisor will have a proven track record in effective materials management, demand planning, and business planning, leveraging the SIOP process in a manufacturing environment. The right candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective coaching and facilitation skills, a teambuilding and collaboration mindset. In addition, the candidate should have strong analytical ability and be effective in leveraging data analytics to draw conclusions and make good Supply Chain decisions to support the business goals and objectives for sustained growth and profitability. This role will require travel for training to the Peabody MA site.

Core Responsibilities:



  • Plan and direct all Materials resources and activities (production scheduling & planning, supply chain management, and all material logistics) to achieve required business results.
  • Forecast intra-company procurement needs in coordination with production planning, utilizing the appropriate material requirements planning systems/programs.
  • Identify gaps and act as primary facilitator with sales, operations, and suppliers to negotiate resolution of resource constraints and meet customer requirements or make required changes to the master schedule.
  • Evaluate available material, manpower, and machine availability in the release of WIP orders to the shop floor. Monitor, measure, and address gaps with applicable organizations to achieve schedule and ship on-time to customers.
  • Manage daily procurement and production and inventory control issues in coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales.
  • Develop and submit budgets, production plans, and other related reports.
  • Assist in development of business strategic plans through use of SIOP process and assure effective implementation of such plans.
  • Directs the preparation of specifications as to quality, quantity, delivery and service required for purchase of plant equipment supplies and Materials to meet production schedules.
  • Develops and maintains an effective Materials organization through selection, training/development and motivation of all personnel.
  • Manage critical inventory processes such as cycle counting, planning parameters, capacity analysis and demand planning processes.
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • 5-8 years of related Supply Chain Management experience in an Engineer-to-order manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated progressive career development with increasing responsibilities, with an emphasis in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of production flow, inventory flow, and documentation procedures.
  • Strong business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and drive change at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understanding of factors impacting Aerospace businesses and our suppliers.
  • Ability to organize time effectively to satisfactorily complete assigned tasks and functions. This includes planning of workflow and meetings.
  • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.



Education Requirements


* Bachelor's degree in appropriate Business or Technical discipline is required.
* APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification is a plus.
