Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager supports our customer's IT Hosting and Cloud Infrastructure solutions governance team. This role will lead the evolution of review processes, templates, and case histories, enabling seamless support for both the review and development teams to optimize delivery cadence while maintaining governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Apply outstanding project management skills, as well as hands-on IT infrastructure engineering know-how, to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical requirements.
• Excel at identifying areas for enhancement and implementing lightweight interventions to drive continual improvement for constant refinement of products, services, and major project initiatives.
• As a key member of the review board, develop a deep understanding of the process and objectives, providing valuable guidance to engineering teams on behalf of the review board.
• Ensure Agile governance practices are applied and adhered to across all functional teams including meetings and ceremonies, use of Agile tools, constant feedback loops using transparent communications, demos, and retrospectives.
• Handling the day-to-day responsibilities of managing the governance process for IT Hosting and Cloud Infrastructure that will ensure excellence in the delivery of products and services in the following critical areas:
  1. Operations (processes, KPIs, maintainability)
  2. Cost control and efficiency
  3. Strong cybersecurity practices
  4. Customer Centric design and benefit
• Ensure product development teams understand and are able to utilize the ARB or PMB to improve their products.
• Support the board in developing guidance on efforts that should fall into scope of the ARB/PMB
• Ensure effective utilization of the board members and development stakeholders.
• Support PMB in ensuring Product Roadmap is updated and accurate
• Support PMB in tracking and reporting status of feature development for senior management oversight

Qualifications

• Experience applying and participating in Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence development
• Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with both technical and non-technical team members to gain consensus and buy in
• Ability to conduct research into software issues and products
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
• Attentive to detail with a focus on accurate results
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Positive attitude and ability to energize others in service of a common goal
• Strong customer-service orientation
• Willingness to mentor within our team
• Ability to demonstrate value of ARB/PMB and advisory efforts to self-promote participation

Requirements

• U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a background investigation
• Bachelor's Degree
• PMP or Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner
• 5+ years experience with hosting infrastructure (server admin/deployment, network infrastructure, cloud platforms) and IT Operations Management process
• 5+ years experience as a Project Manager, including 3 years experience with government
