POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Metering Project Manager to join our team and support Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). The Metering Project Manager shall perform various project management tasks in support of Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) metering program. They shall coordinate with Field Maintenance personnel, WAPA's operations Engineering/Balancing Authority, and Power Marketing teams.

The Metering Project Manager will:




  • Assist with monthly status reports for all assigned projects that impact changes to the responsible Balancing Authorities Western Area Colorado Missouri and Western Area Loveland Colorado.
  • Notify change in project status to Power Operations, Power Marketing, Transmission Services and Maintenance divisions VP's.
  • Assist with project execution within the planned and approved budget.
  • Assist with project execution within a planned and approved schedule where applicable.
  • Work with various project management tools such as the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBK).
  • Provide technical writings and documentation.
  • Work with bulk electric system principles with those around large/small generator interconnects and transmission interconnections, basic system, and metering drawing review and technical interpretations from Subject Matter Expert to customer.
  • Work with Federal budgeting and accounting practices.
  • Work with Federal procurement practices.
  • Understand WAPA's project management order and manual.
  • Provide support for the development of WAPA policies and procedures, working with federal guidance to document requirements
  • Provide technical writings/documentation supporting Project Management, reviewing power and transmission contracts, coordinating with Power Marketing, Power Operations, Transmission Services and Maintenance division organizations.
  • Provide documentation (electronic and hard copy) in support of projects and operations which consist of and use both hardware/software and government developed software.
  • Perform updates and indexing of documents related to metering projects.
  • Provide project management support, coordinating project planning and activities; and creating documents such as weekly, monthly status reports, and project summaries.
  • Provide support during audits. Provide documentation and respond to questions and requests.
  • Provide support for procurement actions, DOE reporting, and human resource activities.
  • Create, maintain, and provide technical training as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Program Manager certificates required.
