Practice Details

Bariatric Innovations specializes in providinggeneral surgeryandbariatric surgeryto the residents of Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Our expertise coversgastric band surgeryfor weight loss, as well as

comprehensivemedical weight loss programsincorporating calorie control, activity and lifestyle education.

At Bariatric Innovations of Atlanta, we understand that the decision to lose weight either surgically or medically is often difficult. We invite you to contact us to discuss your weight loss options and learn more about how our programs can help you.

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  1. Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military medic course.
  2. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
  3. Other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
  4. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
