Shift Engineer essential tasks: Be responsible for operating and maintaining chillers, boilers, and building systems while ensuring smooth facility operations. Duties include monitoring equipment locally and remotely, responding to alarms, performing hourly logs, and documenting data. Flexibility for rotational shifts may be required. The role also involves handling service calls, executing emergency responses, and performing additional duties as needed. Qualifications: Must have EPA - CFC Universal Certification. Must have active HVAC Journeyman or Third Grade Stationary Engineers License in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia. Must have 5 years of experience. Must have technical knowledge of Building Automation System, Centrifugal Chillers, Air Cooled Chillers, Fire and Water Tube Boilers, Air Handling Units, Variable Air Volume, Fan Coil Unit, and Chemical Treatment. Must be familiar with emergency systems including redundancy, isolation, change over, and shut down of all utilities, and mission critical systems. Must be eligible for a Top Secret (TS) security clearance. Must be willing and able to work any shift.
