Job Summary

Operations leader driving results in a400 persondistribution facility with a focus on Production, IC/QC, Receiving and Distribution. Establishes production, distribution and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

Primary Duties

  • Direct work activities and produce successful results. Make effective use of available resources, including staff. Stay on schedule and meeting commitments. Effective follow-up and prompt corrective action ensuring results are achieved. Staying focused and setting correct priorities.
  • Plans and directs production and distribution activities and establishes priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
  • Directs production and distribution activities to obtain optimum utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  • Reviews and analyzes production, distribution, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating, production or distribution problems.
  • Work effectively with others in a collaborative environment. To the extent appropriate, creates and maintains an environment which encourages others to work together to achieve business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), capability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Able to regularly lead town halls for 200+ employees.
  • Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Revise schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Coaches andmentorsdirect reports in order to provide leadership counseling and advice to managers.
  • Lead and develop team of five managers who lead ~400 employees in Production, IC/QC, Receiving and Distribution

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leadership, business acumen, adaptability, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Minimum of10 yearsuccessful experience with growing responsibilities in multiple industries/companies.
  • Experience within a Lean Six-Sigma manufacturing or sourcing/distribution environment is preferred.
  • Experience with one or more functional area besides product management, such as engineering, sales, or strategic sourcing is a plus.
  • Experienced working in cross-functional team.
  • Must possess the communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization and move projects through the organization with minimal direction.
  • Multi lingual, multi-cultural is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, motivate and develop future leaders in a high energy environment.
  • Physical Requirement:Capability to lift20 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten plus years directly managing people.
